Alex McMurtrie, Chief Executive
Alex joined the JAC in September 2017 as Head of Policy, and held the Deputy Chief Executive role from November 2021, before being appointed as Chief Executive in June 2023. A career civil servant, Alex previously worked for the Cabinet Office, as Head of Honours Operations, to deliver the Cabinet Secretary’s proposals for the twice-yearly honours lists to the Prime Minister and The Queen.

Jessica Prandle, Deputy Chief Executive and Head of Strategy and Policy
Jessica joined the Judicial Appointments Commission as Head of Diversity and Engagement in July 2018, before being appointed as Deputy Chief Executive and Head of Strategy and Policy in August 2023. Jessica has broad experience of strategy development and implementation, having lead policy areas at Westminster City Council and subsequently at the Bar Standards Board. She also has a background in central government policy, through working in the House of Commons for two Members of Parliament.

Rob Aldridge, Head of Operations and Digital
Rob joined the JAC as the Head of Operational Delivery in November 2018, before being appointed as Head of Operations and Digital in March 2022. He has worked in a variety of Civil Service roles over the last 10 years, most recently in the Cabinet Office, overseeing aspects of how the Civil Service Fast Stream operates. Prior to that Rob worked for the Ministry of Justice on the Department’s Freedom of Information and Data Protection operations.
