The Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC) has provided evidence to the Senior Salaries Review Body (SSRB) as part of their annual review of judicial pay. The evidence covers recruitment for salaried and fee-paid roles in both courts and tribunals and includes both legal and non-legal posts.
The JAC publishes annual official statistics of applications and recommendations for selection exercises completed between 1 April and 31 March each year. For completeness, as the JAC was not asked to provide formal evidence last year, this year’s evidence also includes a breakdown of the exercises that reported in 2019-20 as well as 2020-21. The evidence now covers the reporting period from 2011-12 to 2020-21.
