JAC publishes data to inform review of judicial salaries

7 February 2020

The Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC) has provided evidence to the Senior Salaries Review Body (SSRB) as part of their annual review of judicial pay. In the evidence the JAC has published relevant data on 43 selection exercises completed between 1 April 2018 and 31 December 2019. The evidence covers recruitment for salaried and fee-paid roles in both courts and tribunals and includes both legal and non-legal posts.

The JAC publishes annual official statistics of applications and recommendations for selection exercises completed between 1 April and 31 March each year. This year, the SSRB has requested the inclusion of relevant information on more recent exercises in our annual evidence, in order to provide a fuller and more up-to-date picture.
