Mrs Justice Falk appointed as JAC Commissioner

The Lord Chancellor today announced the appointment of Mrs Justice Sarah Falk  as a Commissioner of the Judicial Appointments Commission, following selection by the Judges’ Council.

The appointment of Mrs Justice Falk is for a 3-year term commencing 1 October 2019 with the possibility, subject to the provisions of the Constitutional Reform Act 2005, of renewal for a total period not exceeding 10 years.

Mrs Justice Falk has been a judge of the High Court, Chancery Division, since 2018, the first woman to be appointed direct from practice as a solicitor.
