It has been announced that Professor Noel Lloyd CBE, a Commissioner of the Judicial Appointments Commission, sadly died on Friday 7 June 2019.
Noel had served as a JAC lay Commissioner since 2012, bringing his knowledge, integrity and experience of Welsh matters to the JAC. He will be greatly missed by the Commissioners and staff.
JAC Chairman, Lord Ajay Kakkar, said:
“It was an honour to have worked with Noel. His intellect, integrity and dedication to fairness were invaluable to the Commission’s work. He was a wonderful colleague and friend.
“On behalf of the staff and Commissioners, I would like to pass on our condolences to Noel’s family at this sad time. We will miss him greatly.”
