Alex joined the JAC in September 2017 as Head of Policy, and held the Deputy Chief Executive role from November 2021, before being appointed as Chief Executive in June 2023. A career civil servant, Alex previously worked for the Cabinet Office, as Head of Honours Operations, to deliver the Cabinet Secretary’s proposals for the twice-yearly honours lists to the Prime Minister and The Queen
More about Jessica
Jessica joined the Judicial Appointments Commission as Head of Diversity and Engagement in July 2018, before being appointed as Deputy Chief Executive and Head of Strategy and Policy in August 2023. Jessica has broad experience of strategy development and implementation, having lead policy areas at Westminster City Council and subsequently at the Bar Standards Board. She also has a background in central government policy, through working in the House of Commons for two Members of Parliament.

Rob joined the JAC as the Head of Operational Delivery in November 2018, before being appointed as Head of Operations and Digital in March 2022. He has worked in a variety of Civil Service roles over the last 10 years, most recently in the Cabinet Office, overseeing aspects of how the Civil Service Fast Stream operates. Prior to that Rob worked for the Ministry of Justice on the Department’s Freedom of Information and Data Protection operations.
More about Kimberley
Kim leads the Corporate Services team, overseeing HR, recruitment, freedom of information/complaints, legal support, finance, information governance, amongst other wider corporate services provided to the organisation. Kim also leads on panel member relationships, driving improvements in processes and support. Her role ensures that the Judicial Appointments Commission remains compliant, efficient, and responsive to both internal staff and external panel members. Before joining the JAC, Kim has worked in a variety of roles across the Ministry of Justice including HMCTS, MoJ HQ and Judicial Office.

More about Nikita
Nikita joined the Judicial Appointments Commission in 2018 and worked in Operations and Selection Policy before taking up the role of Head of Targeted Outreach and Research in 2020. Prior to the civil service, Nikita has a legal background and worked in criminal defence and resolved financial and banking disputes for the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Reece joined the Judicial Appointments Commission in 2024 as the Head of Diversity, Engagement and Communications. Before joining the JAC, Reece worked at the House of Lords as the Head of Inclusion & Diversity where he was responsible for ensuring the creation of an inclusive and welcoming workplace culture.

Dan joined the Judicial Appointments Commission in September 2018 and held a number of roles in the organisation before being Head of Selection Policy in July 2022. Prior to joining the JAC, Dan worked in the Local Democracy and Boundary Commission for Wales and the Home Office.

Meena joined the Judicial Appointments Commission as Selection Exercise Manager in September 2018, before being appointed as Programme Manager in April 2020, Senior Selection Exercise Manager in July 2020, Senior Policy Advisor in April 2023, and Head of Operational Delivery in April 2024. Before joining the JAC, Meena worked for the Department for Work and Pensions.

Matt joined the JAC in 2008 and has held various roles in the organisation supporting the Commission, panel members and candidates and managing complaints, freedom of information and data protection, selection exercises and the selection exercise programme. In 2020, Matt was appointed Head of Digital Delivery and Programme Office. Prior to joining the JAC, Matt worked in television production.

Lisa joined the Judicial Appointments Commission as a Senior Selection Exercise manager in February 2018, before being appointed as the Head of Senior Appointments in February 2022. Prior to joining the Civil Service Lisa’s background was in education, particularly in the areas of careers, work experience and student vocation.

Sean joined the Judicial Appointments Commission in January 2022, having previously worked as an analyst in the Home Office and Ministry of Justice. He joined the Civil Service on the Government Operational Research Service fast-stream.

Prior to joining the Civil Service Jenny’s background was in the charity and education sectors.
