You apply for a role through our website.  The application process asks you for information on your skills and experience, eligibility and good character.

Providing diversity information

Providing diversity information in your application helps us monitor progress against our equality objectives. It is also used in situations where the equal merit provision might apply.

This data is used anonymously. We use it to uncover whether there are inequalities, unfairness, discrimination or disadvantage in our processes, and to explore any underlying causes.

Accurate data allows us to concentrate on finding solutions and making appropriate improvements. The anonymous data is also published as part of our Official Statistics.

Make sure you are clear on the eligibility requirements for the role (legal or non-legal) and if you are asked to complete a self-assessment, take a look at our advice on completing your self-assessment and choosing the best examples.
